The Rising Dawn was established on April 22nd 2018The idea behind creating Risen was to make a family friendly FC that will welcome people from all skill levels from new players to veteran players from all walks of life and to try and add a little extra to the gameIt has been the goal of the FC leader, her amazing officers to create a caring, well rounded and drama free community within the Zodiark server for anyone who wants to join usWe hope you will take the time and enjoy reading our magazine. It will introduce you to the FC leader, her Officers, as well as finding out a little about two of our other ranks Ganesh (event organisers), Securitas (a role that helps work the subs and airships) and our Worker Bees (who work tirelessly to keep the coffers full). All three of these roles are non officer based. It will let you know a lot of what is available for you, all about our events, our rules and even testimony from some of our members.

Actions

We make sure we have actions on everyday although there are some days that we may not be able to follow the below timetable. All our members are able to put on the actions if the FC leader or an Officer is not online. We try to have level 3 actions charging but please remember they take 72 hours to charge.

Meet the Management of Risen

Here you will meet the FC Leader and the Officers of The Rising Dawn and get to know them a little

The Rising Dawn is ran by 2 kick-ass women that have no problems going above and beyond for Risen and its members. They are Suri Mai (the FC leader) and Halgrim Bloodlust. In the next couple of pages you will get to meet them and find out a little about them.Our officers are almost always working hard maintaining the FC itself, running events, updating discord and this magazine as well as crafting and gathering and selling items they make to raise gil for the FC chest. All the gil they make goes into the upkeep of the airships and submarines, re-decorating but most importantly going into fun activities for it members and prizes. Neither of the officers claim a single gil of it's earnings. As well as all this they are here to help members of Risen where and when they can.Then we have Azalea Moonflower. She is a founding member of Risen that recently stepped into the Worker Bee role but is always on hand to support the officers whenever needed

Suri Mai - FC Leader

The FC leader along with her Officers, Worker Bees and Event Organizers works really hard to run The Rising Dawn <Risen>. She is almost always on hand either in game or on discord. Don't be afraid to message her, she doesn't bite. Let's meet our FC leader.

Hey all. How are you doing?I'm Suri and Risen's FC leader. I run the FC with my officer Halgrim. I also have people in non-officer based ranks that help with the upkeep of the FC and keeping the coffers full for all sorts of prizes, hosting and organising events and running submarines and airships. We're totally blessed to have these incredible people work with us and you'll meet them all soon.Throughout my time in FFXIV and with running Risen I have met some phenomenal people all over the world not just online but also in real life with some of these people have become my closest friends over the years..I was born in May 1981 and share my birthday with Azalea. I play Final Fantasy 14 with my real life husband Kaito Mai. I'm not new to MMORPG's I have been gaming for years and played a large variety of different games but where it comes FF14 is the first Final Fantasy I have played and I am totally hooked.Other than gaming my hobbies are reading, cross stitching, home baking and playing with my staffie Luna (who you will hear in vc as she likes to say hello, tehe). I am online most days but you can always get me in discord.I really look forward to meeting you, until then take care, stay safe and happy gaming. 🥰

Halgrim Bloodlust - Officer

As well as the FC leader our officer works alongside our non-officer ranks for the day to day running and upkeep of Risen. Don't be afraid to message her with any questions or if you need anything. If she can help she will.

Hello everyone!!!
I'm Halgrim, your friendly neighborhood hyur.
I was born in 1986 which makes me a lot older than I feel or act, I take pride in being a shorty bum at 5ft half an inch...you know what they say - good things come in small packages...or is it poison comes in small bottles. I'll let you decide which one suits me more! I'm English and live up north just by Liverpool.I have been playing FFXIV properly for almost 5 years, I re downloaded it due to covid lock-downs and needed a new game to get obsessed with...and here I am today! I love the final fantasy series as a whole but my Favorited is the pre-remake version of FF7, my original ps1 copy is still boxed and still works!Outside of the game I have a 13, almost 14yr old daughter and 2 fur babies Loki and zack, we recently lost Elsa who liked to bark and do zoomies whenever Id go on discord VC and be a general psycho 🤣 💔 zack has now taken over that particular role...
I enjoy cooking...and eating a lot and love going out for cocktails and dancing like nobodies watching.In game I main Tank but can dabble in any class. If you ever need help with anything at all then ask and I'll try my best to help you! I love playing this game and I love having our FC to enjoy it with, I don't mean to be cringy but we really are like a big family ❤️I look forward to seeing you all soon!!

Worker Bees

Here in Risen we have some of the most amazing people that take the time out of their busy schedules to help make gil to help add a little to the game for our members.
They are our Worker Bees.

The Worker Bees role is a busy and one of our harder working ones.
These members work along side the FC leader and our Officer, they even have the help of not only our Secritas but several incredible members within Risen. They spend a lot of time to work grueling team crafts, crafting, gathering, lists for give away's and so so much more. All the gil that they make goes into the FC chest for its members.The Worker Bees role consists of 4 members..The members for this role are Azalea, Taeldrom, Kaito and Jade

Event Organisers

Here in Risen we have some of the most amazing people that take the time out of their busy schedules to bring events to the members of our FC and try to add a little to the game for our members.
They are our Event Organizers.

This is a Non Officer role within Risen.The Event Organizers will work closely with our FC Leader and Officer to bring you events from content clears (Please note we are a casual FC not a hard core one), to mount farms, to events where we give away prizes and gil and as much in between as possible.The members for this role are Forrest, Rhaeda, Jaina, Mizu and Melody.You can find a list of what we have to offer in the "Event" section of this magazine.

Securitas

Here in Risen we have some of the most amazing people that take the time out of their busy schedules to help us run our airships and submarines and more to help add a little to the game for our members.
They are our Securitas.

The Securitas role is made up of 2 members that work alongside Risen's management to manage the day to day running and upkeep the Submarines and Airships. They also help alongside our FC leader, Officer and Worker Bees in making gil for the FC and its members.
They have taught us how to make the most of the Submarines through builds and to help make gil from them for the FC and in doing so taking off some of the pressure.These members are Ragnar and Poppy

We have a large variety of events that we host here in Risen and we are always open to new ideas, suggestions and requests.During times of major events we close recruiting for the FC for approx 2 - 3 weeks before the date of those event(s) and then open up recruiting again usually the day after the event is finished.

Perks of Risen

There are perks to Risen as an FC. Have a read and see if we are for you.

Discord
We have our own discord. It's full of useful info and all of our events as well as other fun things such as the social aspect of both voice and text chats, a food channel, screenshots, personal artwork, links to helpful discords for various aspects of the game and so much more. Here you will also find things like fashion reports, patch notes and the FC's rules.

The FC Chest
The FC chests is located within the the FC house, as well as like most major cities.
Once you have passed the mandatory trial, you will have full access to tab 1 in the chest, which is full of goodies, but please try to be considerate of other members.

Regular Events
We try to hold regular events throughout the week here within Risen and are always open to suggestions.
We have events from farms and clears to hide and see, various competitions and all in between. Some of our special events can include prizes like gil and various items from in the game.

Mount Farms and Content Clears
Need a mount or a clear from old patches to new ones we have your back. Risen often posts events for those in discord. If you do not see something you might want, please message the FC leader, an officer or the event organizers (Ganesh Rank) via game mail or discord. We will happily take suggestions and requests and do our best to accommodate you but please remember we are a casual FC.

TextCrafters and Gatherers
Risen has a great variety of high-level crafters and gatherers who are willing to help you. If you can supply the materials, we can make it if we have time, but please remember we have our own game to play as well.

Highly Experienced Players
Risen has a large variety of experienced fighters, gatherers and crafters that will almost always help you if they can when they are free. If you need advice, general help or just have a question, please feel free to ask. We encourage all our members to help each other when possible. We all started somewhere.

FC Workshop
We are lucky to have unlocked all the housing walls in our workshop or manage to unlock new walls quite quickly after they are released. So if there is something you want, feel free to go and make it.
The fabrication station is open for all members to use if you are tall enough to use it. If not, please ask an officer or the FC leader to do it for you, just make sure you have all the required materials. All we ask is that you do not leave unfinished projects as they will be removed and the materials lost.

Thavnairian onion
Risen tries to time cross-bred for these most of the time and either have them growing or in the FC chest for has members. Once your Chocobo reaches level 10, you can buy one of our onions from the FC for a reduced price of what they are selling for at that time on the market. Just ask the FC leader or an officer.

FC funding
The FC leader, her officer, and the worker bees are tirelessly working to keep our coffers full. The gil in the FC chest goes back into the FC for event prizes as well as other things. They do NOT claim a single gil from their work which is voluntary.

Airships and Submarines
We are trying to keep our airships and submarines up to date in their levels, builds and all areas they can travel. To help us with this we have our Securitas ranked members. Risen uses the airships and submarines to get mounts and minions and other items for it's members for event prizes and give aways among other things.

A quick message from the FC Leader and Officer

Suri along with Halgrim would like to interrupt this magazine for a quick message to all our members both past and present.

As we have said, our FC leader and officer are almost always working for the benefit of the FC and we have mentioned the non-officer-based roles that go out of their way to help us.BUTWe do have several members, both past and present, as well as a few friends friends of Risen that have gone out of their way and, above and beyond, to help the FC and their fellow members.Here in The Rising Dawn we would like to acknowledge what others do and have done and try to find ways in which to thank them. We have a hidden channel in the management section of discord where we keep a record so no one is forgotten, so that this is possible.

So our message to you is

Rules of Risen

As with all FC's / Guilds in any MMO there are, of course, rules to follow.
We have these in place to help manage the safety and wellbeing of all our members.
Let's have a look.

Risen has a zero tolerance policy for the following -,
Bullying
Racism
Discrimination
Harassment
Sexism
Witch Hunting
Hate Speech
None of the above will be tolerated within Risen, either in-game or in Discord. Depending on the severity of the situation, it will depend on how the FC leader and the officer(s) will deal with it. We do understand that there are 2 sides to every story, and we will get all sides before we deal with an issue. Please remember to take screenshots when and where possible for any reports and complaints (preferably time-stamped ones). Any reports and/or complaints WILL be held to the highest confidentiality.

Family friendly and Safe place
Please be aware that on occasion Risen does and has had minors as part of the FC, also that we have people who have children that can hear/see things. We don't want to restrict anyone, but please just be mindful of minors.
Being a large community, we ask our members to try to be open-minded and accepting of others opinions, sexuality, and right to be themselves without judgement or persecution. We try to make Risen a safe and friendly place for everyone.

Banter
We understand that banter is all in good fun, but let's keep it that way. We don't want any unnecessary misunderstandings. Please remember we have people from all over Europe in Risen's Discord, so language barriers can cause miscommunications and misunderstandings.
If you have a dispute with someone and are unable to resolve it, please come and speak to the FC leader and/or officer(s) to help try and mediate the situation. However, please remember we are not running a kindergarten.

Leave of absence
Here in Risen we have a policy that if you take a leave of absence without informing the FC leader and/or Officer(s) for more than 60 days, you will be removed from the FC. HOWEVER, we do understand Real life comes first, as it should, and people's circumstances change, and you may be away for more than 60 days. We do also understand that there are times that you may not be able to let us know. We DO NOT need to know why you will be inactive for this time, just that you will be. This way we can re-rank you to Somnus (inactive), giving you up to 120 days inactive and not removing you from the FC by mistake

Extended leave of absence
As stated above, we do understand real life comes first, and circumstances may change, meaning there may be times when you will be inactive for longer than 120 days, taking you past the rank of Somnus. If this is the case and you have NOT informed the FC leader or officer(s), you WILL be removed from Risen. If you do, let us know that you will be inactive longer than 120 days again; we DO NOT need to know why. We will re-rank you again to Terminus. This gives you up to 365 days inactive before we remove you from Risen. This is to keep Risen as active as possible.

Leaving and Re-joining
We do understand there may be reasons that people will leave an FC. Here in Risen, we will not tolerate a player continuously leaving and rejoining UNLESS there are extenuating circumstances.

Streaming
We are aware that there is more and more of a demand for gaming content on streaming platforms. BUT please be aware that there may be people in a VC that do not wish to be recorded or heard in any way, especially if they have children that can be heard in the VC. We do have a streaming channel in Discord that you can use.
Risen will NOT tolerate discord being streamed for safety reasons.

Promotions
Once you have joined Risen, as with all/most FCs, there is a 7-14 day period where you will be in a "trial period" rank. For us, this is Nova. After this period, you will be re-ranked to Amin, which is our full member rank. With this, you will be given full access to use the fabrication station in the company workshop. You will also have full access to tab 1 of the FC chest, where we store some goodies and consumables for you to help yourself to completely free.

Alts
Yes, you can have an Alt in Risen as long as it is reasonably active; however, you are only permitted 1. This is to help keep Risen as active as possible.

FC Chat / Discord
When we created Risen, we had an unwritten rule of keeping politics and religion out of any and all FC chats, as it causes issues. Due to such an issue, we have had to put it in writing.
In the FC chat in-game and in ALL Discord channels, SURI (the FC leader) is banning all talks of politics, political issues, policies, and other such topics.
Everyone has different opinions and standings about political ideals and policies and other such topics and this is more than fine. BUT we have a lot of amazing people from a lot of different countries. With everything going on in the world today, there are a lot of serious, upsetting, life-changing, and catastrophic events that are traumatising people. You opinions matter, and here in Risen we value everyone's opinions. But these topics can trigger people and cause unnecessary upset and animosity towards others. If you wish to talk about these issues, please keep it to private chats.
If you need someone to talk to, vent to, or just listen to you. Please see me (Suri Mai, <FC leader>), and I will happily be a sounding board and lend a shoulder if you need it, and if I am not fully up-to-date with what is happening in your country, I'm happy to be educated.

We have a large range of vendors in the FC house including ones for repairs, materials even a Journeyman Salvager. As well as an FC chest, Summoning bell (Retainers), and a Crystal bell (Aesthetician) located in the FC house as well as an Aetherial Wheel making level 3 actions

Fully functioning workshop that is always open for business for our members to use

We are bless that we have a lot of gardens working day and night in the FC house and our personal houses

The interior of the FC house is constantly changing depending on events and the holidays

There are many FC's that are run by good leaders and are full of great people, but there are not so many that truly work on their community, from frequent and varied events through to generous competition prizes that the FC leaders work hard to source. The atmosphere is also always pleasant and warm. It does not matter if you are there every night or have inconsistent gaming patterns due to real life (like I do). It does not matter if you are super-sociable or prefer to just log on and chill by yourself, you never feel like you are being judged. We integrated so well when it could have gone badly wrong, and I put this down to the great group of people here who accepted us the same as we accepted them appreciated the great stuff they are doing. One of my closest friends was the person who got me into FFXIV. But after a while she had to stop playing because of her new job. Before it didn't bother me that I never saw anyone else from the FC she (and I) was a part of or much of any other player. But when her life got busy I realized how alone I was, stuck in an American server.Then another friend then told me about her FC, an FC where people socialized, did group activities and just had a lot of fun together. It honestly sounded too good to be true. But when I finally took the leap I found everything that she promised me to be true. I have never felt more welcome. I'm normally a really shy and socially awkward person online but everyone in Risen really helped me to get out of my shell. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, always willing to help out with content, doing fun events or just saying hi when they see you in game.Now it's been about a year later, everyone is still as friendly as ever and I find myself looking forward to the days to come.

"Hey we are Rag and Pop a real couple who have played FFXIV for a little over 5 years now, im a 84 Baby and Pops 87 so a little seasoned compared to some Ingame our main focus is housing, crafting and gathering and last but not least making gil We dont really dabble in much battle content but have a massive obsession with housing.
I hail from the FFXI days where i played for nearly 7 years and going back i played FFVII so a fairly serious FF player. This is Pops first real online gaming experience as she never really gamed before meeting me xD but we enjoy playing games like Raft, The Forest and Subnautica together outside of FFXIV.
Our real life is just utter chaos as we have 3 children, 2 girls aged 2 and 5 and a 7 year old boy and then 2 cats, one a grumpy old woman xD and the other is a super friendly ginger cat who enjoys murdering any wildlife that comes near our house.
We have not been a part of the Risen family long but we can say we are seriously happy here, after some drama running our own FC we decided to look for something more family orientated and relaxed and Risen fits the bill, super chilled and incredibly friendly atmosphere with all types of stuff to do or if you just wanna lay back and chill then Risen is the perfect place to be."
